Dr. Madhumita Chatterji is Director of ABBS School of Management (Acharya Bangalore B School.) She was formerly the CEO and Board Member of Ants Consulting and Services. She was the Director at IFIM Business School now Jagdish Sheth School of Management, (JAGSOM), Bangalore, India. She has taught at Corvinus University, Budapest and other such renowned Institutions during her academic career spanning more than three decades. The faculty of Middlesex University had nominated Dr.Madhumita Chatterji as a mentor for their HRM program.
Dr.Chatterji specialises in Organisational Behaviour & Human Resource Management. She has worked extensively in the areas of Corporate Social Responsibility, Spirituality in Management, Corporate Governance and Business Ethics. Her work also covers Cross Cultural Management Processes, Business History and Indian Ethos & Culture.
She has earned MA, MBA with University rank and gold medal and completed her Ph.D from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. She has pursued advanced studies in the university of Oxford, U.K. and Harvard Business School, USA. Books authored by her are: “The Ksatriyas in Ancient India,” “Corporate Social Responsibility,” “Ethical Leadership – Indian and European Spiritual Approaches”, “New Frontiers in Conflict Management, Peace Economics and Peace Science” and “Conflict Prevention and Peace Management.” She has published numerous refereed articles in renowned journals. She has been awarded for institution building and Excellence in Service by, Higher Education Summit, INSO and HEF &IBA.
She is also a recognized PhD guide and member of PhD committees of institutions and universities. She is the co-founder of the Mahatma Gandhi International Research Centre for Conflict Prevention and Management. She is member, Advisory Board of European SPES Institute, Founding Board member of South Asian Alliance of Disaster Research Institutes (SAADRI), Regional Committee member of National Institute of Open School, member of research team around the concept of Economic peace based in Grenoble Ecole De Management for the UNESCO candidacy and member of International Society for Integrated Disaster Risk Management (IDRiM Society) and the Executive Director of the IDRiM Regional Centre India.
She is associated with various academic and non academic bodies like Steering Committee Member, ANSO DRR – Alliance of International Science Organizations on Disaster Risk Reduction, Chinese Academy of Sciences (April 2025). Guest speaker at Sichuan University (China) on CSR and DRM; participant in Alliance of Alliance on water and disasters (Nov 2023). Invitation to participate in the 5th International Forum on Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals (FBAS 2025) hosted by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and organized by the International Research Center of Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals (CBAS).
She has been honoured with multiple awards for institution building and excellence in service and is widely recognised for her contributions to ethical leadership and inclusive management education.
